Squeaky Toothpaste-Shaped Rope Toy for Dogs

This is a long, soft toy shaped like a tube of toothpaste, with rope ends for gripping and a squeaker hidden inside. It looks faintly ridiculous in the best possible way — the sort of thing you find clamped in your dog's mouth as they trot past you in the hallway, looking enormously pleased with themselves.
It fits into the daily chaos of life with a dog: the game of tug when you need ten minutes of distraction, the solo squeaking session when you're on a call, and the quiet moments when they simply want something to mouth while they settle down beside you.

We added this to the shop because we are not above a bit of silliness, and because Seven responds to silliness with wholehearted enthusiasm. The toothpaste shape is daft — it makes people do a double-take, and it makes Seven do that particular head-tilt she reserves for things she finds intriguing. But underneath the novelty, it's a properly functional toy: rope for pulling, a squeaker for engagement, and enough durability to survive being Seven's current favourite. It's the sort of toy that makes you laugh when you see it, and makes your dog happy when they play with it. Those two things don't always go together. Here, they do.

The K&S Test

Keke:

Keke has not engaged with this toy. She is a cat, and a tube of squeaky rope shaped like dental hygiene equipment falls well outside her interests. She has observed Seven's enthusiasm from a comfortable distance and found the entire spectacle unworthy of her attention. The toy remains in Keke's world only as a thing that occupies Seven, which she considers a minor blessing.

Seven:

Seven likes this toy with the uncomplicated fervour she applies to most things. It squeaks when she bites it, it pulls when she tugs it, and it has not yet surrendered to her jaws. She carries it around the house with the satisfaction of someone who has found a thing that responds to her. It is not her only toy, but it is currently among her most favoured, and she returns to it with the reliability of a creature who knows what she likes.

From Yan & Nicole

From Yan

"I don't have much to add — this is Seven's toy, and Keke has wisely stayed out of it. But I will say there's something genuinely funny about watching a Golden Retriever parade around with a giant tube of toothpaste. It ended up being one of those small absurdities that makes the daily routine a bit more cheerful."

From Nicole

"I bought this because the shape made me laugh, and because Seven needs new toys the way some people need new podcasts — constantly. What surprised me was how much she actually uses it; it's not just a novelty that sits in the basket. She pulls at it, squeaks it, and carries it to her bed. It's held up better than I expected, and it still makes me smile every time I see it in her mouth. That's a decent return on a toy."
