Why we chose it

We added this to the shop because we were tired of rope toys that smelled like a gym bag after a week. Seven is a Golden Retriever with a serious chewing habit, and her toys don't stay fresh for long. We wanted something that could survive her enthusiasm without becoming something you'd rather not touch.The antibacterial treatment isn't something you notice day-to-day — and that's the point. You just notice that it doesn't reek. And the textured knots seem to do something for her teeth while she's at it, which means the game of tug is doing double duty. It's not a toothbrush. It's just a toy that happens to be less awful than most.

She has watched Seven and Nicole pull at it from a safe distance, judged the entire activity beneath her, and returned to her own concerns. She is not a subtle critic — her enthusiasm is either present or absent, and here it is firmly present. She will engage with this rope for as long as you are willing to hold the other end, and then she will settle down with it alone, working the knots with the dedication of someone who believes there might be a treat inside. There is not. She persists anyway.
