The Toy That Outlasts the Enthusiasm

£12.89
Some toys don't last the afternoon. Some don't last the first five minutes of tug-of-war. This one has been part of our story since Seven was a puppy — and she's still bringing it to us now.
A simple ring toy for outdoor play: throw it, tug it, repeat. Nothing clever about it. That's rather the point.

We added this to the shop because we were tired of buying "indestructible" toys that lasted a week. This one actually holds up to a large dog's enthusiasm. The rubber is firm enough to survive serious pulling, light enough to sail across a field when you throw it, and shaped so you can grip one end while your dog grips the other. It's the sort of toy that does a very specific job very well: it tires them out.

The K&S Test

Keke:

Keke took one look and decided this was not her sort of thing. Which is fair — she has her own standards. No ring toy made it into her collection.

Seven:

Seven has known this toy since she was small enough to barely get her mouth around it. Her opinion has not changed. She still presents it with the same hopeful look she had at twelve weeks.

From Yan & Nicole

From Yan

"I didn't bother getting one for Keke — she made her feelings clear early on, and I respect that. But for a big dog that actually wants to play, this is one of the few toys I've found that doesn't feel like a temporary purchase."

From Nicole

"Seven would play fetch until she couldn't stand if we let her, and this ring goes further than a ball — she gets a proper run in. We take it to the big field near us and she sprints back and forth until she's actually tired, which with a Golden Retriever is saying something. It's also one of the oldest toys we own, which in our house is genuinely unusual."
