Bye-Bye Floof

One-Click Deshedding Brush.

Brushing a pet who wants to be brushed is a pleasure. Brushing one who doesn't is a negotiation.
This brush handles both. The pins are rounded so they won't catch or scratch, the head tilts to follow the shape of a body that wasn't designed to sit still, and when you're done, one button pushes the fur out so you're not picking at it with your fingernails.
It's the sort of thing that makes a daily chore feel slightly less like a chore.

We added this because living with Keke and Seven means dealing with two very different attitudes towards grooming. Seven produces an astonishing amount of fur and genuinely enjoys the attention. Keke considers it a personal insult. We needed something that could handle a willing Golden Retriever and a reluctant tabby without either of them ending up offended or sore. The self-cleaning button was the thing that sold it — because once you've brushed a dog that size, the last thing you want is to spend another five minutes pulling fur out of the bristles.

The K&S Test

Keke:

Keke does not enjoy being brushed. She makes this clear with her whole body. The only way this works is a swift, tactical approach — a few strokes while she's still deciding whether to object, then letting her leave with her dignity intact. The rounded pins help. At least she doesn't flinch.

Seven:

Seven's review process mostly involves leaning in and looking hopeful. This one passed immediately — he stands there, tail going, presenting different angles like he's at a salon. The amount of fur that comes off him is genuinely impressive. He'd be brushed all day if you let him.

From Yan & Nicole

Yan

"I bought this because even Keke needs to be brushed, whether she agrees or not. What I like most is that I can get a few quick strokes in before she realises what's happening — the rounded tips mean I'm not worrying about hurting her. It ended up becoming the only brush she'll tolerate for more than ten seconds."

Nicole

"Seven loves it so much it's become part of our daily routine. I noticed the tilted head makes it much easier to get underneath him and around his legs without awkward angles. What surprised me was the eject button — I expected it to be a gimmick, but it genuinely saves time. One press and the whole lot comes off in a neat clump."

✓ Good fit for
  • Dogs who enjoy grooming and need regular maintenance
  • Cats who tolerate brushing but need gentle handling
  • Heavy shedders who produce more fur than seems physically possible
  • Anyone who'd rather not spend their evening picking hair out of bristles
✗ May not be for
  • Pets who genuinely cannot be touched (Keke has her limits, and we respect them)
  • Severe matting that needs professional attention — this handles light tangles, not serious knots
