Interactive Chirping Bird Toy for Cats.

Some toys get a few days of attention before quietly disappearing under the sofa.

This isn't one of them.

This touch-activated chirping bird has become a regular part of life in our house. A light paw tap triggers realistic bird sounds, giving curious cats something to stalk, pounce on, and carry off on important feline business.

We first added this bird because Keke simply wouldn't get bored of it.

Most toys have a honeymoon period. This one somehow skipped that rule entirely. We've bought four of them over time because it keeps finding its way back into regular play sessions.

It's one of those toys that works even when we're busy. Cats can bat it around, carry it off, and entertain themselves without needing a human to join in.

For kittens especially, it can be a helpful way to stay occupied during quieter parts of the day.

The K&S Test

Keke

Keke absolutely loves this bird.

When she's in hunting mode, she'll grab it, bunny-kick it with her back legs, and make her distinctive hunting chatter. Watching her play with it feels surprisingly close to watching a cat acting out a real hunt.

Seven

Seven isn't technically the target audience for a cat toy, but nobody seems to have told her that.

Whenever she gets hold of the bird, it usually comes back thoroughly washed in Golden Retriever slobber. Keke finds this deeply unacceptable.

From Yan & Nicole

Yan

I originally bought this because Keke loved it so much, and it quickly became one of her most-played-with toys.

The only thing I'd mention is that you'll probably want to put it away before bed. Keke occasionally carries it into the bedroom and starts a late-night hunting session, which is much more entertaining for her than it is for us.

Nicole

The funniest thing is watching what happens when Seven gets involved.

She has a habit of carrying the bird around and covering it in drool, which means Keke often ends up staring at her favourite toy with visible disappointment afterwards.

✗ May not be for

Nothing specific comes to mind.

The only consideration is that enthusiastic nighttime hunters may need their bird tucked away before everyone goes to sleep.
